Things to Do in Bali By Breana Johnson

Bali has been called one of the most beautiful places on earth, and it’s easy to see why! With such gorgeous scenery, colorful culture, and vibrant nightlife, Bali is one of the top destinations of our time. While Indonesia hasn’t been a traditional vacation spot for women traveling solo or in groups, Bali is the perfect place to get some me-time or girl time. Here are some things to see for yourself!

See History

From Tirta Gangaa to Penglipuran, you’ll be amazed by the architecture and calming beauty of Bali’s traditional way of life. Discover the serenity of the temples, or relax by one of the ponds in the garden. Even better, lean a few phrases on the local language and meet Penglipuran locals. For a stunning view, go to Uluwatu Temple. This beautiful temple is believed to be about a thousand years old. It has plenty of ancient statues, elaborate carvings, and delicate touches. The best part of the temple, though, is its position on the edge of a verdant cliff that steeply drops into the ocean. You can’t find a better place to watch the sunset anywhere else in Bali.

Discover Nature

The Ubud Monkey Forest is one of the coolest things you can see while in Bali. This nature reserve also serves as a Hindu temple complex. If you’re up for a hike, visit the Sekumpul Waterfalls. It takes over two hours to reach the falls, but it is worth it! Tegalalang Rice Terrace is another must-see attraction. When you visit, you can see first-hand how Indonesian farmers have been growing rice for generations.

Light Up the Night

If you want to have a good time shopping, drinking, and pampering, then head to Seminyak. This villas resort town is famous for its shops, spas, and nightlife. You can party while the sun goes down and all through the night. Seminyak is also a great place to stay. It has plenty of resorts and hotels to choose from, many of which have beach access.
